Progress on our 68th Annual Scholarship Book Sale!

We have a sale site! We are returning to 425 Essjay (#100), in Williamsville, and are grateful to Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation for making this happen!

So, we’re in the next phase – we’ve moved to our sale site! We’re accepting donations there now until May 15! The collection hours will be:
      Tuesdays 9am – 8pm      Wednesdays 9am-5pm,
Thursdays AND Fridays 1pm-5pm     Saturdays 9am-noon

In addition to books, we also accept DVDs, CDs, LP vinyl records, audio books, puzzles, games, and any large print materials.

No textbooks, professional journals, Readers’ Digest Condensed books (except for large print), magazines (except for WNY Heritage), cassettes, video tapes, 45rpm records, encyclopedias, Time/Life books, travel guides earlier than 2018, computer books.

We reserve the right to inspect and reject donations. We cannot accept non-saleable (moldy, marked up, badly damaged) items.

The sale itself will be May 29-June 2. Mark your calendars!
     Wednesday-Saturday 9am-8pm
     Sunday (bag day) 10am – 5pm

When you come see us at the sale, please be sure to park across the street at 550 Essjay. Our neighbors in the 425 building need the adjacent parking lot for their customers during regular business hours.

Also to Christ United Methodist Church for helping us out with some desperately needed temporary storage space this winter. The church has several charitable projects which align with AAUW’s mission. They would certainly appreciate donations of materials and/or, of course, monetary value. See Local – Christ United Methodist Church (christchurchamherst.org).

Plus kudos to the Buffalo and Erie County Library System and the NIOGA Library System for distributing our bookmarks AND to several of their branches for donating books!

Our eternal gratitude to Amherst YES, Sacred Heart Academy, and Canisius High School for the muscle power they provided to set up our tables and move the boxes collected over the winter to the appropriate areas.
