The AAUW Buffalo Branch announces three $3000.00 educational scholarships for Buffalo Niagara Region female students who have demonstrated success in a grass roots effort that has effected positive change for women or girls.
Since 1955, the AAUW Buffalo Branch has been conducting annual book sales to raise funds to support efforts that provide educational opportunity and equity for women and girls. The proceeds of these sales have multiplied 30,000 times and now afford the Branch the opportunity to offer these generous scholarships to assist female students attending a college or university full time. All funds supporting these scholarships were raised at the annual AAUW Buffalo Branch Book Sale.
These scholarships are made possible by the proceeds of the AAUW Buffalo Branch Annual Used Book Sale, which will be held at a time and a location to be announced in May or June. We invite you to support this – the 54nd year of the Book Sale.
The complete application including transcript, evaluation, and endorsement must be received no later than March 15, 2008
